I believe that if Facebook feels that a link is "false" that they should add a "bubble" that says there are alternate views of this link. But I don't think they should ever censor or determine what I should see. Isn't that what the first amendment is all about?

I have friends whose links I can't access too. Most of them are because they screwed up their own account settings.
But some of those links are links that had been deleted at the source, and are now no longer valid links, so Facebook blocks them. Some of them go to phishing and other sites that will access your computer and become a threat to your privacy and/or identity and/or bank account, and Facebook will delete them, and then block your access to them if your friend "shared" the link before it had a chance to be deleted.
Around 60% of my "Friends" (including family and casual acquaintences) are Democrats. Perhaps 15% of them are Republicans. A solid 10% of them are declared, proud, Anarchists. One of them is a Socialist. The rest are unaffiliated, like myself.
Anecdotes will be anectdotal and don't represent anything of significance, at all, ever.
