The closing of Gitmo is obviously not a problem....just listen to all the cheers!!!
The real problem now will be the disposition process and then where to put them.
Does everybody really believe the people who decided to create Gitmo in the first place didn't know what they were doing? Does anybody think they are not more safe because of Gitmo? Perfect? No of course not, what is?
If the gun was at your head and the cause was one of the guys being detained your views would be different. If your family was tied up with bomb vests and one of these guys knew how to shut it off I wonder what your view would be under such a real test. There is no doubt about my position...like Jack Bauer says on 24....do what ever it takes!!!!!!
Those most distant, the special interest groups, the permissive pacifists with no involvement, exposure or risk have driven this to it finally becoming a front burner issue.
How about if they were going to be detained in Lake, Marion or Sumter County? Would that be OK???
The bill is an easy knee jerk response to maintain a campaign promise....that if listed in priority would not even make the first page of the list....but it is a campagn promise fulfilled...eh?

In my opinion, this was the political correct thing to do instead of the correct thing to do, but time will surely tell !
