our house came with a ceiling fan in the master BR...it was the standard white with no light
we went over to Dan's Fans on 441/27 and picked out one that my bride liked (with a light)...they installed it for like $25 bucks
We were used to having a window open up north when we retired at night....not going to do that down here....so the fan is on
every night and we're happy
