My question is - why would "we" want to repeal that tax?? It's paid by hotels and goes for entertainment. If it's repealed the money has to come from somewhere else. Or reduce/eliminate entertainment.

They don’t want to repeal the tax they just want to stop paying the $100000 to fund square entertainment. This is what the commissioners said would happen if they were not re-elected. Punishment for voting them out.
