I've also seen the Lewis series but haven't been able to get into the original Inspector Morse show. It's sort of dated now, but since I started with Endeavour I just kind of resist John Thaw in the role.
Another favorite for repeat viewing is Foyle's War, set during WWII and its aftermath.
Bosch on Amazon Prime is a tightly plotted L.A. noir, if darker fare is your thing.

The Bosch series is very well done as well, particularly if you are a fan of the Michael Connelly books.
