Thirty five years selling ALL types of flooring both residential and commercial qualifies me to respond to your comment. The "thin" stuff as you say is not only REAL hardwood but far more dimensionally stable than 3/4 solid as it is also in furniture construction. Solids cannot be installed over concrete as they are designed to be nailed to a substrate. I will guarantee that any hardwood floor installed in Florida will change color over time, usually fade but depends on species. Laminate floors are just as stable and far more scratch resistant than either hardwood or vinyl plank. Vinyl plank is more moisture resistant, particularly desirable if you have a pool.
