The perfect is the enemy of the good. A vaccine that saves 10,000 people from a disease but risks 1 adverse reaction due the the vaccine is an acceptable risk for me.
Disclosure, I am a participant in a vaccine trial so my bias is clear. Early results show initial safety and efficacy hurdles of the protocol have been met as the studies continues.
