Depends what’s causing your sickness. If it’s cancer or something like that I believe you, but if it is bacteria or virus I don’t think so. Contagious illness like the flu, cold, measles etc are .... well contagious. You get it from people.
Older people have less immunity. In Canada, for example, 80% of all Covid deaths occurred among long term residents. They were always among people, tell your doctor.
