Hi Folks,
My wife and I moved to Florida from Maine back in 1978 on Thanksgiving Day. People thought we were nuts going swimming in this "frigid" 70 degree weather. Course it was only about 15-20 and 2 feet of snow) when we left. Worked at Togus.
I would move back to Maine in a heartbeat but only if I won the lottery and had an all electric everything + a huge 4 wd anything. Electric roof, sidewalk, driveway, et al. And of course my own generator.

I really don't even miss the summers up there (both weeks). But I do miss the people and the camaraderi (sp?) we had. And the lobster boils. (Both her grandfather and uncle were lobster fishermen)
Just got to cold what with shoveling and going to work, et al. Win the lottery would have to do neither. But that ain't gonna happen anytime soon.
PLEASE, bring some REAL lobsters with you. All they have down here is crawfish on steroids.
Welcome aboard!!
