One day last week it was -11. I like Maine, but when we move down to the Villages in 490 days 6 hours and 25 minutes ( not that I am counting), I do not think I will be back. My wife wants to keep a place up here but I told her to have a good time when she visits Maine.

We had -28 two weeks ago today.
When I retire, the only frozen water I ever want to see again is the ice in my drink. And the short winter days really bother me the older I get.
Give me warm breezes, sunshine, lots of daylight, and color instead of a monochrome world six months of the year.
We'll still summer in Maine, but we'll be gone before the leaves fall in autumn, and not be back until the new spring leaves fill out the trees.
