If you think viewing them from The Villages is great, you should make the trip down to the Kennedy Space Center and see one "in person". Seeing the rocket go up (as opposed to only seeing the rocket exhaust like you can from here) for about 15 seconds before the ripping, thunderous sound comes rolling across and hits you is an amazing experience.
If it's a "big" launch (like the manned launch on 11/15), they charge between $50 and $230 each, depending on where you get to see the launch from. If it's a "little" launch (like SpaceX sending up another batch of internet satellites), they have had deals where a carload of people can get in for $50 and see a launch of one "in person". Alternately, you can pay for a day's admission and not only see the launch but tour the facilities. If you've bought an annual pass there, you get to see the launch, tour the facilities, and do it again and again for a year.
