It Was Really Cold!
Actually, they gave me a pretty good seat. I'm the guy all bundled up, sitting right on the aisle up over President Obama's left shoulder. You can spot all the Floridians -- we were the most bundled up.
The lady sitting behind me in the white outfit kept bumping me while she was taking pictures. It was pretty cool being right on the aisle. I was able to bail out of there right after the speech in time to get out to the front of the capitol to see W and Laura get in the helicopter and fly off to Texas. I had a chance to say hello to Vice President Cheney, but I couldn't think of anything nice to say.
I did see some guy applauding and cheering like crazy. Was that really Bucco? I don't recall him saying he was going.
That's a great picture. I'm a little surprised to see Justice Clarence Thomas, the only black on the Supreme Court, sleeping during the inauguration speech of the first black President. I guess that's what happens when you have a lifetime job with no chance of getting fired.
