Two weeks ago, on a Saturday afternoon , we discovered our hot water was spewing water out of the top. Apparently this had been happening for awhile because the double doors to the water heater / HVAC closet were swollen. I called Mike Scott Plumbing and they arrived about an hour later. We upgraded from a 40 gallon to a 50 gallon electric tank. The total cost was $860 and included a new pressure tank. We were extremely happy with the service Mike Scott Plumbing did. Then called the warranty department and found out what company installed the doors in our house. Our new doors will be and installed in this week for under $300. Lesson learned, check the water heater closet daily, water never leaked into the garage.
