You may want to explore extra strong glass. It is readily available. It will of course be more expensive that replacing a broken and or chipped glass pane. Is it worth it????
I would expect, pebbles from a lawnmower never hit the same window twice so you would probably need to replace all of your windows. A side benefit, the thicker glass
would likely make your home quieter and perhaps lessen your AC and heating cost.
