Well, if that is you, you are fortunate indeed, but I am here to tell you it is very real and very serious. In just the last week I have learned of three deaths; one a teacher and former student of mine; one a former college classmate and friendly competitor when we both coached high school basketball in the same conference; and another a long time family friend. I don’t know if my experience is common, but I am certain it is not unique. I am happy we are beginning the vaccine process, but until immunity is pretty universal, I implore everyone to be careful and vigilant. I do not want to add a TOTV friend to my list.
I am very sorry for your loss. We have lost two old friends from Cincinnati married to each other for a long time . We have know personally seven people who have survived it, some with hospitalization and some who were not affected greatly. One is our grandson who just got the all clear. He was feverish and had a headache but was able to work at his job remotely.

We are careful and vigilant as you so nicely ask. It is soon to be over and we will not soon forget it.
