I do NOT particularly believe or not believe what I am about to write about. I have no link and only vaguely remember it. But, here goes - some people believe that living in 3rd world unclean, primitive conditions gives you an immunity boost because you GET more hookworms in your stomach and intestines - which somehow (?) confers increased immunity to disease? And that the 1st world reliance on antibiotics kills both the good and bad bacteria in the gut. Have any of the Doctors on this forum heard of this and is it possible or just a QUACK HYPOTHESIS ??????
