Patio Villa Topaz - wood studs or metal?
I am attaching a wall mount for my 45" flat screen TV. My Dewalt DW0100 stud finder located the stud but the drill bit didn't hit any wood although there was more resistance than one would suspect from dywall only. I did not notice any metal residue on the drill bit. The stud finder gets great reviews and when I knock along the wall I would pick the same spot as the stud finder.
My question; did the builder use metal studs on the interior walls instead of wood 2x4's on my brand new Patio Villa Topaz?
I am going to call the builder on Monday.
