I recall at one point last year, there was a brass ensemble that practiced in the Southside pool rec building, in front of the window facing the pool. IIRC the window was slid open, so that everyone could hear the music. It was terrific!
But it was also not a daily thing, and it didn't go on for hours and hours. It was a scheduled rehearsal, or possibly a scheduled performance.
If I didn't like that kind of music, or wanted to read in quiet, I certainly would've gone to another pool.
But if I had to go to another pool every time I tried to take a relaxing dip in a social environment, just because one person decided to be a total POS about "ma freedumz" I'd grow pretty tired of it.
