Meanwhile, my sister might end up intubated, and I'm horrified. This doesn't just affect the person sick. It affects their family, friends, pets, landlords, customers, bosses, every single person and creature their life interacts with is affected.

And yes, I plan on getting the vaccine. It won't be my "turn" for awhile, and I'm okay with that because I'm not at risk. But I'll get it once that window of eligibility opens.
