The photo is NOT taken from where you would sit at the head of the bed. I wanted to show the OP a good view of where I had mounted the TV since he had also encountered metal studs. If I had taken the photo from the top of the bed, you would see an inversion table on the left and dresser and mirror on the right. I wanted to crop those items out and show the location better. Had I installed the TV where I originally planned, it would still be above the closet door but maybe 18" lower. It's 10' from the head of the bed to the TV screen, plenty of distance. Plus you're sitting on a bed and in our case, we have a high mattress.
We actually used this BR for two nights in September because we were having wood floors installed throughout the house and our other two TVs were removed along with the furniture by the installers. This TV being mounted on the wall, it wasn't necessary to move. So for two nights we used it and it was great. I had no problem sitting up in bed and seeing the TV without any neck problems.
