baybob..... 70 and 69 are not too old; hopefully, you both have many happy, healthy years ahead of you. Living in TV, with its warmer climate and relaxed atmosphere, might add years to your life. There are so many vibrant 70+'ers living here.
I have seen couples relocate here in their 80s...that just floored me that they would be willing to make such a major move so late in life. I can't imagine my 85 yr old mother making such a move. In one instance I know, both of the elderly spouses died within 2 years of moving here...it probably wasn't a good decision for them... they would have been better off staying where they were comfortable.
But, do it now....don't wait for 5 years and miss out on these good years.
