If you're concerned for your safety AND for your enjoyment, you can come down and enjoy most of what the Villages offers, while wearing a mask and staying on the perimeter of crowds rather than jumping into the middle of them.

MOST people will respect your request to "please take a few steps back" if you're the one who can't back up, and they get too close to you (such as - if you're at the end of a line and someone comes up behind you all up close and personal - you can't move forward without running into the same problem with the person ahead of you, all you can do, really, is ask for them to back up a few feet).

Wear a mask inside buildings that aren't yours, carry a little mini hand sanitizer or some alcohol-based wet-wipes, and have a spare mask in a pocket "just in case." More than once I've put my mask on, on my way into the store, only to realized I totally forgot to NOT wear lipstick that day. What a mess. So I carry around a clean spare mask.
