Most every home built in the Villages in the last ten years is built according to Universal Design principles, which enable aging in place.

There are 36 inch doorways. Lever handles on all doors. Rocker switches for lights. No steps. At least one bathroom with wheelchair turning space. Comfort height toilets. Many have a “Roman shower” which has a no-step entry and a seat. You will have to ask about the shower.

Biggest problem will be pulling a wheelchair up to a sink or a kitchen counter. No knee room. Also, toilet is most likely in a small room within the bathroom.

Ask again but be more specific about the features you need.
