One difference I didn't see mentioned about a patio villa on a corner lot. Generally in that situation, TV will give a stretched out lanai to those homes. The standard is a 10'x10' lanai on front. Someone wanting to put a hot tub inside the screen or maybe a table and chairs for eating, you'll have the room and you're sliding glass door will open to the lanai.
