Again - just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Having permission to get something doesn't require that I get ahead of someone else who needs it more than I do.
I am ALLOWED to take a seat on the train. But if I see someone who needs the seat more than I do, I'll stand so they can sit.
I am ENTITLED to eat every single apple in the bag of apples that I bought at the supermarket. But if I see someone in passing who appears hungry, I will give them one of my apples.

All too many people, have either forgot this great advice on how to live their lives, or never believed in it in the first place. While there are lots of people who like to point to younger generations and lump them all together, claiming a supposed general selfishness and "me first" attitude, they're watching a lot of us older generation(s) and shaking their heads at the hypocrisy.
