There were bombs (that fortunately did not go off), people with zip ties, and well organized groups who targeted our government and wanted to murder members of our goverment. They all need to spend a good deal of time in jail - some maybe for the rest of their lives. These are not a collection of morons ... actually, they are morons but they are more than that. I really, really, hope you are correct, but I'll have to see it for a period of time after the 20th - before I believe it. I condemn ALL violence, regardless of the supposed "justification." However, to equate that which happened this summer (especially when it's been proved that there was some infiltration solely for that purpose) of those who were protesting unequal justice, with those who attacked the very foundation of our fragile democracy last week - is an obviously poor attempt at a false equivalency (and I'm NOT saying that's what you've done in your post, because obviously you didn't).
