I have a Samsucks side-by-side and had numerous freezer/ice issues. Had Samsuck out numerous times, worthless. I joined a group which suggested filing small claims court case since it is a known issue and 20 other legal actions but didn't want to go that route as my retired time is worth more than that. After Googling for 4 months decided to invest $200 and repair it myself (computer circuit board, ice maker box, insulation, drain tube and 2 other things and it has been 100% flawless ever since. ANYWAY, Google can be your friend. Various suggestions I found, all may not be for your model (if none work you will need to call 1-800-SAMSUNG or if it is out of warranty and you are handy you can replace the panel yourself (not hard).
Various suggestions from Google search:
Reboot it ..... try UNPLUGGING it for 1-2 minutes. Maybe it's running Windows Millenium.
Also (if buttons are labeled):
To reset your Samsung refrigerator control panel, simply press the Power Cool and Power Freeze buttons at the same time, and hold for about 10 seconds until you see the numbers on the display reset.
Press the "Ice Hold" button down for three seconds to turn off the child-lock. The buttons on the display panel will not function while the child-lock is on.
Hold down "Energy Saving" and "Lighting" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds (or top left & right buttons). Display panel returns immediately
hold the top left and top right soft touch buttons on the screen itself (which I think is the power save and the lighting buttons) and held for about 8 - 10 secs and it reset.
