I am partial to HP printers. Yes, I did work for them . I have found them to be very reliable, range in price from $50 and up, and have excellent print quality. Most of their new printers, they have something called "Instant Ink". You pay buy the page and it doesn't matter if you are printing and 8x11 photo or a spreadsheet. The printer communicates with HP and they automatically send you (free) ink prior to you needing it.

What you should do first, is determine how you are going to use it. I wouldn't purchase a $50 casual home printer if you are going to use it for a business and print hundreds of pages a month. Like wise, I wouldn't buy a business printer if I want excellent photo printing.

If you tell us how you plan to use it, I could make a recommendation.
