Smallpox killed people of all ages, not predominantly older people with multiple other medical issues.
I think it’s great that the vaccine is available. It will allow those in that demographic to resume their lives. For the rest of the population for whom Covid is only at minor risk, the vaccine should continue to be optional. At this point no one knows if there will be any long term side effects from the vaccine.
