Hence the flight of Sumter County residents to other sources.
What happened to The Villages....the biggest this....the biggest that...et al....except for vaccine....with ZERO communication what to expect.
GMR/saferestart shut down since 1/11/2021....ZERO communication of what Sumter County residents can expect.

The majority of the first allotment for Sumter was sent to UF to vaccinate front line medical workers. Allotment appears to be based on the counties infection rate. Per capita in Florida Sumter residents have held their own against the virus even with the high average age for the county. The vaccine has become an apparent dog fight amongst the populous. Many states are fighting behind the scenes to get extra doses for their state. The entire situation has become a huge mess due to a panicking population. On the other side of the coin it has become a huge political stance for those that will be seeking reelection in the coming year.
Also be aware every nation in the world is seeking the same vaccines we are seeking. I am sure major pharma is making as much vaccine as they possibly can as it is a huge profit maker.
Distribution across the globe has to be a logistical nightmare.
I suggest keep on doing what has kept you healthy over the last year. Be proactive looking for an appointment but stop panicking.
