Good thing your "belief" carries absolutely no weight whatsoever, otherwise your statement could be construed as libel.
EVERYBODY---fellow competitors, 3 caddies, volunteer witness---failed to see the ball bounce. The rules CLEARLY state that a player, if unsure of whether the ball broke the plane of the ground surface, may mark, lift and remove the ball without cleaning it, then check to see if it was embedded. Then a fellow competitor or rules official should be called over to see if they agree. This is EXACTLY what Reed (and Rory) did.
As far as 2019 goes, that was hard to explain. It wasn't a PGA tour event, and Reed said he didn't notice, which is also hard to believe. But it is even harder to believe a 9 time PGA winner and Master's champion would INTENTIONALLY try to "cheat" with hundreds of fans and several TV cameras focused on him
