Places administering the vaccinations may not charge US, but they are being paid a set fee by the government for each injection. Similarly, Medicare pays for flu vaccinations for those who have Medicare, right? But we the people pay for Medicare. Thus, we are all paying for the development of the vaccine and for its administration. If it turns out that we need to be vaccinated every year or get a booster, the drug companies will be charging much more, pharmacies and doctors’ offices will be charging, and insurance companies will be billed. This isn’t being done out of the goodness of people’s hearts. It makes money for all the companies and businesses involved.
