Back in 70’s there was a strain of flu that was deadly and the developed a vaccine for it and wanted to give everyone a vaccination for it. Where I lived local schools, fire stations and some public buildings were all opened and you went and got in line and they administered these shoots. There were multiple lines wherever you went and there were several people using some type of injection gun administering the shots. The lines moved rapidly and you were in and out in no time. There was no cost for the shot and never any discussion of money. Unfortunately today everything is about money and influence. Vaccinating people at Publix, CVS, Winn Dixie, Walgreens etc. is all about money. How many people go to these stores get a shot, which is free then go in and buy something while their there. These shots should be administered at mass vaccination sites, and no profit making scheme should be associated with it. I saw my doctor last week and he told me if they gave him a thousand doses, he would come in over a weekend and vaccinate everyone of his patients. No charge, no money involved. That reminds me of a time gone by where people did the right things for the right reasons.
