I have been told the same thing as the OP, that most attorneys and banks, etc. will not agree to be your power or attorney because of the liability. Pittman Law prepared my will and that they would not be my power of attorney and didn't know of anyone who would. With that being the case, I would be very suspicious of an attorneey or organization who will do it. A trusted friend or relative is probably the best way to go.
