I think that'd clear up the confusion. The less likely any of you are to get the virus, the less likely any of you are to spread the virus. Even if that reduced risk isn't immediate, it will, at some point, be a reduced risk of spreading as a direct result of vaccination.
I didn't find anything unclear about that. I just added the word "ultimately" and it made total sense. That's pretty much how vaccines have worked historically to eradicate or drastically reduce the risk of spreading pretty much every illness that you can be vaccinated for. The more people with the vaccine, the less likely anyone will get sick. Including family and friends.
But at this stage in the game, "reduced risk" does not mean "100% immunity." So you maintain social distancing and mask wearing and hand sanitizing to cover your bets.
