Being careful about one contagious disease makes you safer from other contagious diseases.

What if, it was not Covid-19 but rather Ebola which makes you bleed to death from the inside and the outside and kills 50% of people infected. People returned from Africa with it about seven years ago and one woman in Maine refused to be quarantined and she got away with it.............

Just a reminder...This is when we had a surgeon general from a small community without National Experience and she was picked for reasons other than skill level.

Symptoms of ebola virus infection are generally noted 2 - 21 days after the virus enters the body.
Early noticeable symptoms include sudden onset of:
Fever
Fatigue
Joint and muscle pain
Headache
Sore throat
Cough
Symptoms noted with disease progression include:
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Rash
Unexplained bruising
Internal and external bleeding such as bleeding from gums and blood in stools

Treatments
There is no definite treatment like an antiviral medication available for Ebola virus infection. Timely supportive care improves chances of survival. Medication is given to maintain blood pressure or to treat other conditions.

Causes
Ebola virus is primarily found in wild animals, particularly fruit bats. It can infect monkeys and porcupines. It can spread from animals or human to human. In humans, the Ebola virus spreads by direct contact with:

Feces or vomit from the infected person
Organs of infected people
Contaminated surfaces
Breast milk
Sexual contact
Transmission of the virus can also be through eyes, nose, mouth and broken skin
