The Spanish Flu which was 80x more deadly than Covid ran its course in under 2 years through herd immunity. The mortality rate of the Spanish Flu was much, much higher than Covid. It effected all age groups. Covid predominately kills older people with preexisting conditions. If you are in that category, take the necessary precautions. But to mandate the rest of the population to take the same precautions is ludicrous...
