We had Wildwood Kitchen redo our kitchen last year and were very impressed with the design, the quality of the cabinets and the installation. Having said that, we were very assertive about what we wanted.
1) When we built our home, we extended the kitchen by 2 feet. While it took some discussion and 3 visits on their part to confirm the measurements, we were able to increase the island length and add a small prep sink at the end. Since we both cook, this was important to us.
2) No installer wanted to put a vent exhaust up through the roof. We finally went through Proline Hoods (internet) to get a hood that we liked that could go out through the exhaust in the wall. Wildwood installed the hood for us.
3) There was a mar in the end panel of one cabinet. Wildwood ordered and installed a veneer piece. While it took several months to get the piece, it looks great.
4) The only thing I did was to buy several small clear rubber dots and placed them where ever a cabinet door/knob might hit. They are hard to see at a distance and prevent any damage to our cabinets.
We did buy high end cabinets so our job was not inexpensive. Don't know if that makes any difference to their attitude. Good luck on your remodeling!
