Treating folks with respect is certainly a must, but I believe when you offer lies to people, you cannot have any respect for them or anyone for that matter. When you are lied to, either directly or enabling, do you not feel disrespected ?

If someone is only exposed to one position on an issue, and that point is reinforced over and over, they will believe it to be the truth. debate and discussion, will change their point of view if they are willing to listen and consider.
I know I am always right (LOL)but I HAVE changed my position when confronted respectfully with an opposite point of view and convinced with fact and reason.
I am discounting the group who knowingly lie and unwilling to respectfully listen. They don't deserve my attention.
You will notice I use the word respectfully a lot.
