Boomer, You are one of my favorite posters ever, particularly because of your humor. I was introduced to Carl Hiassen because of you and have just finished laughing my way through Squeeze Me. That said, I so identify with the crux of your post. Thirteen years ago we had decided we wanted to move to The Villages. I was doing consulting work and was flying most every week. After I finished my work, my indulgence in my hotel room was to log onto TOTV and read the friendly posts and sense the excitement of the newbies who had just moved in. When we moved here in 2008 I had friends already and still hang with some of them today. I went to Crispers to meet many of the posters. We are in a different era and have to hope that the kindler gentler responses will win out.
