Some of us completely understand ! I too was "filled in" on the importance of "proper" manners being the "showing" of approval and support by the "thumbs up"..... never heard of it among seniors, but sadly some younger people have taken their lives, their LIVES, for lack of "likes", as if life is not even worth living without "likes" from mostly relative strangers and from close friends.... that's a lot to contemplate !
