Nothing else in any governing agency ever needs 75% agreement! It's an insurmountable outrage! Between snowbirds, rentals and vacant homes for sale it often amounts to more than the number needed to prevent approval - even IF you could get the remaining neighbors to agree!
We have 80 villas built in 2011, and one of my neighbors got the petition finished and submitted in 2015. Oddly enough, gray is one of the new colors and we have about 6 homes choose gray, 7 have chosen green, 9 have chosen cream, and about 28 have chosen some form of tan. The remaining homes are the original yellowish color. Three of my neighbors repainted but stuck with the original color. However, one of those after seeing the dramatic change in mine, went ahead and hired Oscar and had theirs repainted in a new color and even though it had been painted the year before.
