I went to JC with George Lucas in Modesto Ca. I didn't know him but I do know about what he wrote and filmed: Which were 10th and 11th streets in Modesto. The big race was on Crow's landing RD. Just outside of town. I saw and participated in many drag races out there. Coincidently, I dated one of the girls in the film who later became an actress. And my Ex. still lives there. The film was very accurate of the time and place. Before the Vietnam war and the drug culture. But, all good things come to an end....
