Who benefits might be a good question to ask about the COVID manipulation?

I represented a DJ who sold made-up stock options to his small town friends. He was out of prison but his friends who were also his past customers and listeners wanted to hold him financially responsible. They also were going after the underwriter.

The judge heard from the underwriter's lawyer who was a Yale Law School trained litigator. He then told the clients/friends of the DJ who had sold them made-up stocks that they should have done their homework. Lots of materials were available in their hometown library about real companies. The judge basically said that these people should have done their research and ruled against them and for my client and the underwriter.

I was a 3rd year law student when this DJ was represented by a legal clinic I was involved with back in 1989 at the U of MN Law School.
