I'm retired Army and we have doctors not affiliated with The Villages health system. We found a good family doctor in Leesburg that takes Medicare and TriCare, Leesburg Hospital also accepts these plans and we haven't had any out of pocket costs. My wife has a number of medical problems and has had to go to the ER at the Leesburg hospital quite a few times. She has had great care and a very dedicated and friendly staff attending her. We had friends who have lived in TV for a long time that directed us to a cardiologist we both needed and he recommended a family doctor to us which turned out to be very fortunate for us. He is a dedicated and caring professional that has shown his commitment to providing us with excellent care. He has also recommended competent specialists to us for my wife's medical problems. Your Medicare and TriCare is enthusiastically welcomed by the majority of doctors, hospitals and clinics in the surrounding area. Too many people here are afraid of leaving the "bubble" of The Villages and don't seek medical care in Leesburg or the surrounding area. We have received good care with our medical providers.
