To me, the move-back-north sales generated because one or the other of the couple or both of them miss the kids and grandkids is the saddest reason, save those where someone died almost before coming here.

Emotionally, even though I have only near-adult step-grandchildren, I guess I can understand these folks' thinking, but I cannot truly embrace it.

My own children would far rather come visit me here than have me visit them where they are. While that does reduce the face-to-face relationships we all cherish, with today's technology, we communicate one way or the other far more than we did "up north!"
