You need an internet provider and could keep Comcast, just cancel their video (which probably would get them very excited and possibly they would back down or lower the rate). Or get a cheaper internet provider (who will also probably try to get you to sign up for a TV service) we use CenturyLink. There are several options in the Villages, depending upon where you live.
It seems we are playing a game with the internet + TV providers. Even for rate hikes, couples can alternate being the primary person. So when your 3 yr contract is up and the rates are / have increased, just cancel (if they let you without a rate reduction) and have your spouse call up and sign up as a new customer - so you get the discounted new customer rate.

I would dump Comcast, there internet slow when compared to century link.
