This was one of those things that could have been a real mess. And she had to discover it herself, literally at almost the last minute. She was just looking over information and there it was. She then searched under titanium nickel knee replacement.

And I, too, cannot believe the doctor would not have caught it. That was upsetting, but she is thankful that she found it in time.

The nickel free knee will be put in by a different doctor at a different hospital. I guess maybe some orthopedic surgeons specialize in products from certain companies. (I have always heard that those companies are supposed to be good investments because of all the baby boomers, but who knows these days? ... I digress.)

And Kathie, I know about that glue thing, too. It happened to a friend's husband with back surgery I think it was.

But, Fumar, I have a question about that comment about glue that you made. I just need to ask. Am I reading too much between the lines, or is it that you really are just horsin' around? If your comment was sincere, well that's a horse of a different color and I hope you will forgive my comment. I sometimes pride myself on having pretty good horse sense, but maybe I went off track.
