Even after you have cancer there are many things you can do to greatly increase your chances of survival that most doctors will not mention. ACS recommends eating more plants, It's Easy to Add Fruits and Vegetables to Your Diet. They do not recommend eating more cheeseburgers.
Hands down the best explanation of how we can fight cancer that I have found was written by a Doctor who has survived Stage 4 cancer with a 2 year projected life expectation. He gives an understandable explanation on how cancer starts and spreads. It is a very well researched, uplifting and informative book.(many links to pubmed). I highly recommend it to anyone affected personally affected by or like me who wants to avoid cancer. He does not encourage avoiding chemo and radiation therapy.
