Since Jersey Mike's opened in front of Target in 2013, I was there at grand opening and have never eaten a Subway Sub since then. The Jersey Mike's opened in Trailwinds Village a mile from my home on Jan 9, 2019, just over two years ago and I was there opening day for that one as well.

I play golf on a championship course every Friday, so with the new location so I close, I spin by on Thursday morning pick up a Giant #3, Ham & Provolone (Mike's Way) lettuce, tomato, onions, oil & vinegar, oregano, salt & pepper, cut in 4 sections. I have lunch & diner for two days, and with golf, I don't worry about what to eat before or after. 15 seconds in the microwave and it's even better.

I can buy Boar's Head Virginia Baked Ham at $10.99 a pound at Publix and it still doesn't taste as good. I don't believe the pandemic has hurt Subway at Pinellas & Traverse Plaza on the southside as much as Jersey Mike's has, they's a crowded anytime I go there.

I agree with the quality at Jersey Mike's. But, I think they are always crowded because the service is too slow. I was there this week, and the guy at the cash register was trying to answer the phone while 5 people were lined up to pay for subs that were already made.
